AAUW Funds

The AAUW Funds promote equity for women and girls by supporting the crucial work of AAUW, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization! Current fundraising priorities of AAUW are the General Needs Fund (9110), Defend Higher Education Fund (4513), and Public Policy Fund (4337). These funds support a variety of current programs of AAUW and are NOT supported by dues. Donate to AAUW today. You can donate online, by mail, or by phone.

AAUW offers a variety of fellowships and grants that are supported by endowments established many years ago. The application deadline for all is Nov. 15, annually, for awards in the following academic/program year. Between FY20 and FY25, AAUW awarded $29.6M in fellowships and grants to 1,538 women and community projects. The 18 current recipients for 2025-2026 who are studying in California are profiled on the AAUW CA website. These exceptional recipients will pursue academic work and lead innovative community projects to empower women and girls. One of our own branch members received such a grant in 1997 to begin Tech Trek, a one-week STEM camp for rising 7th grade girls which has received national recognition. Will you be next?

AAUW’s Legacy Circle recognizes those who have included AAUW (National) in their estate plans. Our branch is currently working on submitting an application for AAUW’s Five Star award. If just ONE member joins the Legacy Circle before June 30, 2026, it will help our branch achieve one of the stars. AAUW accepts a variety of planned giving instruments and the donation does not need to be large. Check the Legacy Circle page for full information and a link to the brochure and application. Several of our members have done so.
